ReEmployAbility played a major role in establishing return-to-work precedent in a recent Virginia workers’ compensation case. The Virginia Worker’s Compensation Commission issued a full board decision that employers can use nonprofit organizations to accommodate light duty work when an employee is recovering from a workers’ compensation injury.
ReEmployAbility announced today that it achieved record-setting performance results during fiscal year 2013. This brisk growth has continued throughout 2014. Much of this success is attributed to the company’s Transition2Work®program, a service that matches injured workers to temporary modified duty work assignments at local nonprofit organizations.

In most cases, a successful outcome means the injured worker is able to quickly return to his previous position. But, every now and then, things work out differently and amazing opportunities develop.
ReEmployAbility today published its latest Program Results Summary. The summary highlights the Transition2Work program’s key performance results for fiscal year 2013, as well as historical program results through December 2013.
The Transition2Work program assists employers with giving their injured workers temporary, transitional, light duty work by placing them at a nonprofit agency within a proprietary national network of over 20,000 participating organizations. As a result, the employer reduces workers’ compensation costs and retains a valuable employee, while the employee has a meaningful yet flexible job that allows him to earn a paycheck while healing. The nonprofit organization benefits from the volunteer support.
ReEmployAbility announced results from a return-to-work (RTW) program with Waste Management, the largest environmental solutions provider in North America. ReEmployAbility’s Transition2Work® Program helped Waste Management supplement its in-house RTW program, successfully assisting injured workers whom Waste Management could not accommodate with modified light duty assignments.
ReEmployAbility announced the company’s 10th anniversary. Committed to helping injured workers return to their pre-injury employment, ReEmployAbility has helped more than 7,000 injured workers through their Transition2Work program.
ReEmployAbility announced results from its Transition2Work program, which showed that the majority (77%) of injured workers who participated in the program returned to work within 90% of the Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) recommended time, and clients saved an average of over $400,000 per quarter.
ReEmployAbility will feature its return-to-work program, Transition2work, at the National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference (NWCDC) in Las Vegas, November 20 – 22, 2013.
